Grace Amber

Iconographer — a beginning to a conversation between the viewer and God.

I'm intrigued by icons. I have been surprised by their mystical invitation to encounter God. They are a beginning to a conversation between the viewer and God.

I spin many plates — creating art is one of them. The creative process anchors my spiritual practice, making me slow down and listen.

I'm also a mum, and I run my own coaching business for women in their midlife at

FEATURED WORK

God Is For US_The Journal image.png

God Is For Us

Created by request for the 30-year anniversary reprint of C. Baxter Kruger’s book God Is For Us.
The icon invites the viewer into a sacred realisation.

The image sensitively attempts to lift the veil on what was happening as Jesus hung on the cross.

The viewer stands behind the cross, gazing into the intimacy shared between Jesus, Father God, and Holy Spirit - The Holy Trinity.

Jesus, eternally part of the Trinity, remained in this embrace throughout the entire ordeal of the cross.

Wherever Jesus went, so did the Trinity together: defeating death, rising to life again, and bringing the whole of creation with them.

At no point did God the Father or Holy Spirit separate themselves from Jesus.

At no point was Jesus alone. And so neither are we - never rejected, never abandoned, never forgotten.

Forever beloved, forever embraced.
