The Peace of God Over Fear and Anxiety

Do not be anxious about anything,  but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving,  let your requests be known to God.  And the peace of God,  which surpasses all understanding,  will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Phillipians 4:6-7, NKJV)

Jesus,  I bring everything to you in prayer.  I know you are approachable,  and I know you love and care for me.  I also know you care about all that concerns me. I'm not imposing upon you when I bring everything to you in prayer.  Thank you for giving me your peace,  which is beyond my understanding.  Help me to think of what you think and say about me!

About Lila

Lila Cook brings more than twenty-five years of experience in psychiatric nursing to her writing and ministry. Wanting more time and connection with the people she served, she later moved into family life education and counseling and went on to earn her Doctorate in Ministry.

Now retired, Lila devotes much of her time to ministering to people who have experienced trauma. Her writing brings together personal story, years of caring for others, and a deep conviction that grace and the finished work of Christ speak a better word over our lives.
