about the artwork
Creation: The Angels Look On In Wonder
Grace's original artwork combines resin infused with gold mica and gilded bands along the top and bottom of the piece. The interplay of gold, color, and texture gives the work its remarkable depth and richness.
A modern icon, the angelic figures are reimagined from Aubrey Beardsley's illustrations for Le Morte Darthur (1893–94).
The angels gaze upon creation and the viewer, inviting us to reflect on what it is to be human... made in God's image.
We live in the time the prophets served by foretelling, mysteries now revealed in Christ.
“…things into which angels long to look.”
1 Peter 1:12
